Welcome to anbook. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, your access to and purchase of products or subscriptions, and your participation in our community. Please read them carefully.

By accessing this website or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our website or services.

Use of Our Website

This website is operated by anbook. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to anbook. By visiting or purchasing from our site, you engage in our "Service" and agree to these Terms.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to:

  • Violate any local, national, or international law
  • Transmit any harmful code (e.g. viruses)
  • Misrepresent your identity
  • Use our content for commercial purposes without written consent

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

You must be 18 years or older or have the permission of a parent or guardian to use our website and purchase our products.

Account Registration

To order from us, you must create a personal account on our website by completing the registration form. You will be asked to provide your full name, email address, phone number, billing information, and delivery details. This information is required to complete the order process. Storage and use of your personal data is detailed in our Privacy Policy.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

We are not liable for any losses resulting from unauthorized account use.

Our Service & Subscription Terms

Rising Reads is a curated monthly subscription box including:

  • A selected book
  • A bookmark
  • A reading guide
  • A special literary item

Billing Options: Monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months
 Billing Date: 1st of each month
 Fulfillment Date: Begins shipping from the 15th of each month

Each billing cycle includes one monthly delivery per month during the selected period.

Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
 Pausing & Skipping: Manage your subscription anytime from your customer portal.
 Cancellations: Apply to the next billing cycle if made after the 1st.

For subscriptions with a 3-month or 6-month billing cycle, you may cancel at any time. If you choose to cancel before the end of your billing cycle, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining months that have not yet been fulfilled. The refund will be calculated based on the number of months left in the cycle and processed within 5–10 business days.

We will notify subscribers of significant pricing or service changes at least 14 days in advance.

Orders & Payments

  • Orders are confirmed via email after payment is processed
  • Payments are made through Shopify Payments
  • All prices are in Euro (€) and include VAT
  • You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information

Shipping & Delivery

  • We ship within the Republic of Ireland only
  • Boxes are shipped from the 15th of each month
  • Delivery is estimated within 2–7 working days
  • Shipping fees are calculated at checkoutWe are not responsible for delays caused by An Post or couriers

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

To arrange a return, please contact us at hello@anbook.ie to receive instructions and our return address. As we do not operate from a public retail location, our return address is provided upon request.

In compliance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to return any monthly delivery within 14 calendar days of receipt if you are not satisfied.

Returns if Not Satisfied:

  • Applies to any monthly delivery
  • Return must include the complete box in original, unused condition
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Refunds will be issued to the same payment method used for the original purchase and processed within 5–10 business days of return approval

Returns for Damaged Items:

  • If your product arrives damaged or incomplete, contact us within 7 days at hello@anbook.ie with clear photos
  • We will review the claim and if approved, anbook will cover the return shipping costs
  • Refunds or replacements will be issued only for products damaged in transit or with manufacturing defects
  • If damage is due to courier mishandling, anbook will work with the courier service to resolve the issue
  • Refunds will be issued to the same payment method used for the original purchase and processed within 5–10 business days of return approval

Note: We reserve the right to deny a refund if the returned product is incomplete or shows signs of use.

Product Availability & Pricing

We reserve the right to modify product offerings, availability, or pricing at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or the website.

Discount codes are offered at our discretion and may be revoked at any time.

Intellectual Property

All website content and product design elements are owned by anbook. Use is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without written consent.

Third-Party Tools & Links

We may offer tools or links to third-party websites. Use them at your own risk. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party services.

Data Privacy & GDPR

Your data is used in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
 Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

In the event of a data breach likely to affect your rights or freedoms, we will report it to the Irish Data Protection Commission and inform affected individuals within 72 hours.

User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Use the service in good faith
  • Avoid fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Not interfere with the operation of the website or subscription system

We reserve the right to block or remove users who violate these responsibilities.

anbook Responsibilities

anbook is committed to maintaining an accessible and secure service but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or access to the website. We are not responsible for:

  • Interruptions due to maintenance or external events
  • Content on third-party sites linked from our platform

Limitation of Liability

anbook is not liable for:

  • Content or opinions in books
  • Consequences of unauthorized account access
  • Misuse of discount codes or subscriptions

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.

If you experience a problem with your order or service, please contact us at hello@anbook.ie. We aim to resolve all issues promptly and will respond within 72 hours.

These Terms may be updated. Updates will be posted with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be communicated via email or on the website.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.
